What is a child soldier?
A child soldier is anyone under the age of eighteen who is part of any kind of regular or irregular armed force or armed group in any capacity. Child soldiers perform a range of tasks including participation in combat, laying mines and explosives; scouting, spying, acting as decoys, couriers or guards; training, drill or other preparations; logistics and support functions, portering, cooking and domestic labor; and sexual slavery or other recruitment for sexual purposes. Young boys are used in battle and are treated as adult men.
They are given majuana and cocaine to give them a "boost" and allows them to kill without feeling guilty or feeling remorse later. The children are told that they are avenging their families' deaths. One thing said to them is, "These are the people who killed all of your families and friends."
Joseph Kony of Uganda was one of those awful leaders who for awhile, went unnoticed by the rest of the world--- an invisible killer. That was just last year!
